    Does anyone knows on classified most people sells on $ sign but sometimes there is different ones pops up. i think at the moment there is England or Portugal money symbol. which country that belongs?

    £ is the UK currency symbol

    For now anyway. Someday they will cave and adopt the Euro as a replacement

    I'm not sure we will cave. It may make more sense, but the threat of losing Sterling would cause uproar here. They don't really want us in their club anyway, & we always get the rough end of the stick!

    NOOOOOO!

    God forbid we should join, all it'll do is cost us a fortune because our politicians are too spineless to stand up for themselves.

    We already pay in an absolute fortune and we get next to nothing out of it. We dont need to be in it to have an influence either, whoever pays the piper calls the tune after all. Besides which, I dont want to see another tranche of our identity go down the pan in the name of the "Great New Labout Social Experiment" that we've been subject to for the last twelve years.

    Anyway, £ is the pound sterling symbol, and long may it stay that way!
