Default Straight Razor User...And Loving it!!

After a particularly hellish couple of weeks, working 15 hour days, bombarded by deadlines, students, colleagues, copious amounts of admin., spirit-sapping commuter traffic, and seemingly infinite emails, texts, mobile phone calls, and correspondence, I look out today at a clear, crisp morning from my back deck and ponder my day off.

In fact, there is very little to ponder. I am a straight razor user, and a member of SRP! I am going to shave, read the always interesting discussions in the forums, chat with my mates online, and generally wrap myself in the warm camaraderie of men and women who share my love of straight razors and everything related to it!

The world moves fast, and it is easy to get caught up in its currents and eddies. Thank God for those of us that have the strength to swim against the tide and have found our little sheltered cove!

    Cheers to you all!!

    James.

Jimbo, enjoy your well earned break with a fine shave. But watch out for the Dingos...

Glad to hear you know what to do to relax and that you like to do it with us! If it were me, I'd pull up a chair on the back deck and smoke a cigar with a cup of good coffee spiked with rum after my shave and enjoy the view.

    Cheers!

Jimbo, hope you enjoyed your shave today, and enjoyed enough for the two of us. No shave for me today. I found an old barber at Granbury, Texas who still gives straight razor shaves. My appointment with him is tomorrow, and I'm going down there with two days' growth.

The barber is 79 years old. He apologized to me for charging so much - $10, saying when he started it cost $1.

Dude! Your interfering with my delusional dream to retire to Australia and get away from the "working 15 hour days, bombarded by deadlines, students, colleagues, copious amounts of admin., spirit-sapping commuter traffic, and seemingly infinite emails, texts, mobile phone calls, and correspondence"

BTW, changing your cell phone number is really easy

I payed $20.00 this summer for a shave and they didn't even use a straight. According to google maps I could be there in a little over 11 hours. Hmmm, I suppose I should make an appointment first.
