When does you beard grow fastest??

Your words are wise. Since I started wet and straight shaving in November, I have only missed 2 days of shaving. Prior to that, I only shaved every other day when in town and maybe every third day while in the northwoods. I've gone out of my way to ensure that I have a full travel kit available now for any work trips in the winter (of which I haven't had any this season) and summer fishing trips.
Also, since (like at least a few other straight shavers) I started this ritual, it has replaced my morning cigarette and really helped me to become a non-smoker since November 1st!

Congratulations, Fred! Man that's awesome. It turns out that straight razor shaving is more beneficial to your health than you might think. :D

I applaud your achievement and wholeheartedly encourage you to stick to it. Quitting cigarettes four and a half years ago was one of the best things I did for myself. The straight razor came later.

Thanks, for the support! It's not an easy thing to do, but I had to do it. I've lost too many friends and family to that hobby, but none yet to shaving. Congratulations right back at you!

Hmmm, now I'm starting to think that a lot of us share this history. It's alot harder to give up than people think. It's a part of your life, it's as much of a ritual as leaving the toilet seat up, but my wife has "re-trained" me on that one, so I guess anything is possible.

It took my wife 20 years to re-train me. :cry:

I used to shave at night and my beard didnt grow hardly at all over night. I havent done that in a long time. I think that my beard does infact grow faster in the day than the night. But I do look forward to the mornining shave. I dont think I will change, because that is the "my time" and I love it.
