Default which one should I Buy??

Ok, (never shaved before with a SR)
I went to classicshave and I am looking at these two:
    http://www.classicshaving.com/catalo...940/296928.htm (dovo)
    http://www.classicshaving.com/catalo...013/564082.htm (TI)
the reason is basically the WAF (wife acceptance factor).
since my badger brush has an olivewood handle it would match (everything in the bathroom is organized by the wife)
so my question is the blade quality what I will want or is there something
else in this range thats better for a beginner i.e. carbon singing blade etc.
I do want to stick to the 5/8 for now. I know this must sound sort of dumb
but I am hoping I am making the right choice. Any recommendations?
another Blade? Im open to any suggestions regardless of wood handles
Dovo vs TI? SS vs carbon etc. Thanks!!

The attitude on these forums is that there is no dumb questions, only dumb answers.

I would gladly answer all the questions here but there is a recent thread that just covered the topic in detail for Alan aka AFDavis11 and his razor choices were same: identical TI and the other a DOVO so you can probably get a better idea by reading it here

In a nutshell: myself and many others would lean towards the TI.

    Thanks,
please keep letting me know about other threads it really does help and keep me from asking the same things over (very good thread!)
anyway I just got a note from Tony miller and have decided to let him put together my first Razor to use on my face with the essentials.
the hell with the WAF. I'll do it Tony's way thanks again!!!

Well, another thing is that although similar in apearence, the DOVO is INOX (stainless steel) and the TI is hi-carbon. The general thought here is that stainless is OK, is harder to sharpen, but stays sharp longer, and you can't go wrong with the TI Sheffield steel... My personal choice here would be the TI...

    Default Wait For It

I'm with Nenad there. Save up for the TI, but consider your width again. Take your time. After a few months a lot of guys are pining for a 6/8 or even 7/8. For the TI, I'd even consider the 7/8 since I prefer spike tips. Once again though, take your time on the matching olivewood razor. Spend a few months working with the high quality razor you will get from Tony to learn what your preferences are.
