I like it for the information and pictures, but as a price guide it's flawed. In the areas of interest to us (how physical condition affects price) it's totally left to your judgment, which is not very helpful.

Here is the Henckels sheet as reproduced from a 1914 catalogue. This is found on page 29 of the book " Standard Guide to Razors". I received permission to post this from the author Ron Stewart. Here is part of the email that he sent me today.

“”I am working on another edition but it is not scheduled for publication until spring of 07. I am currently searching for new information for this book (including interesting photos and reference material that could be included, no promises but I will consider any ideas). “”

Mr. Stewart has also mentioned that he has only about 30 copies of his book and he will sell them autographed for $9.95 plus $2.50 postage. He also said it was ok to post his email address.

Nenad, I attached a picture of your rescaled Dubl Duck when I thanked Mr. Stewart. He is interested in what's going on in the club and your razor is a prime example.

    Thanx Glen,

But maybe Vlads Violin scales are better example what is really going on here, razors keeping their primar function AND becoming work of art...

Nenad, your work and Vlads are most defiantly "fit to print".

Let's not forget the masterblaster of the custom scales work, Mr. Bill Ellis

Thanks for the info Glen. I am finally back from the disk punching and now can catch up on the posts.

Bill Ellis is the master restorer and custom scale guru. I am learning from his work. One day, I may get good enough to compare my work to his, but not yet.
