Thanked: 2A mock up by Vladamir
I have been speaking with vlad for almost a week after I read a post that he may be making razor boxes. Well this is what we came up with. Made from purple heart and cocobolo. Let me know how you like it. ALL HALE VLAD!

Thanked: 2Bill,
This is what I want. You have to design your own.

Vladsch,
These coffins look great. I just might pm
you in the near future about getting a couple.
I would opt for nothing on the lid. At first I
thought a skull would look kinda cool?
Would you object?

No need to fight over a box, gentlemen. I can make a unique one per each customer.
The cocobolo was just an idea. I am not sure the color combination of darkened purpleheart and cocobolo would be the best, but it is something that I had on hand that was dark (as per Keaton's request). I am looking into other dark woods that would look good with purple heart.
I am going to post some pics of the pin inlay I made for the Stratocaster box. It will make the box look classy. I was inspired by a couple of razors on e-bay that had pin inlays in the scales. So pin inlay decor is definitely an option for your box. On Keaton's box the cross is supposed to be a brass pin inlay.
If anyone wants a custom box just PM me and we can work out the design to your specification. I can work from a sketch, a picture or a figment of your imagination.

I did say "I can make a unique one per customer".
I prefer to make different ones, to fit the personality of the person and the razor. It is more fun. Although, I will be making boxes that are generic, but with ability to add inlays and razor contouring that is custom.
Keaton too wanted a skull. I can still make it for him, but he also mentioned that he wanted it to look like an old style coffin. I thought that a cross on it would do the trick. If he still wants a skull then I can do that too.
I don't mind making all kinds of boxes. I am honing up my box making skills just making them for my own razors. So PM me if you want a custom box.
Here is the top panel of the Strat box that I am working on. I just did the inlay and the heat treated sunburst. The wood is not yet finished and the sunburst will become paler after sanding that will be done when the box is complete.
I thought of making a Stratocaster outline with pins but when I tried the design it did not look good. So I opted out for this "victorian" style. It should make the box look classy.
I am also almost finished with the Strat strop handle, the brass fixtures have been done for over a week. So I'll be sending it to Tony Miller to have him turn it into a strop. Should be a nice set when it is done.
