    Default Strop dancing

Have you ever caught yourself rocking back and forth while you strop? I did the other day while listening to music while stropping. Today I wasn't listening to music and caught myself again. I asked Nanna and she said I did it quite often, but I did it to the beat if music was playing.
Who else will admit that they have done or do this quite regularly?

How many other guys have a wife who talks constantly while you are stropping or counting hone strokes?

    (Sorry babe!)

There's a new craze sweeping Australia - strop scooting. You get as many grown men as possible and line them up in rows. The dance is performed to Billy Ray Cyrus's "Achey Brakey Heart" and involves intricate footwork accompanied by a rhythmic gymnastics - style twirling of the strop, and culminates with each member giving another a resounding slap on the arse with their doubled-over strop! The dance proceeds thusly:

    "Don't break my heart (ouch!!!)
    My achey breaky heart (aaahhh!!)
I just don't think he'd understand (crikey! strewth!)"

So while I myself have never danced with the strop, I do know some intrepid souls who have.

    James.

My wife just keeps hitting me with the door as I strop. Then I really dance.

I'm surprised to see this thread!
I actually sway my body back and forth in a slow rythm following the motion of the razor on the strop. Happy to hear someone else's story.

I'm waiting for someone to say that its a bad habit and varies pressure and will transfer to honing. Btw I don't rock when I hone.

Why do I believe that if such a thing were to exist, you would be the instigator!

Now you know if I was quite long enough for you to strop you would worry something was wrong. I have to get it out or my head would explode. I am quite when you do homework (mostly)
