I just saw an old poster on eBay that I had to share with a picture of a guy straight shaving and his destraught wife. The caption reads (as exactly as I can discern);

I WAS SHAVING MYSELF AT THE TIME

I live in a house called "Villa de Brick." It's old on account of its age.
The residents there are the wife and myself, Like Turtle doves in a cage
The wife has a mother - she's only one - Thank goodness, I give you my word!
She ought to be poisoned: she's not fond of me - And last Tuesday a strange thing occurred.
I was shaving myself at the time, when the postman knocked at the door
The wife came to me with a tear in her eye, Read the letter, and said, "Poor mamma's going to die !
She's been knocked down by a motor-car,and nearly fractured her spine
I said, "Clara, for goodness' sake, don't make me laugh!" I was shaving myself at the time.
