Default Specific Differences: Square Edge Vs. Rounded Edge

I prefer round edge razors mostly because I find I can use many more angles without taking the risk of nicking parts of my face, as opposed to a square edge with which I often nick my cheeks, while using different or more aggressive angles. Of course I want to diversify my collection (even though I think round edges are more asthetically pleasing), but not at the risk of having types of razors I wont end up using.

I have listed my reasons of choosing rounded edge razors, does anyone have any reasons, other than physical appearance for why they prefer square edge blades?

nope, mostly just like the squared off look. and it makes it easy to slide right down the edge of my sideburns, they go all the way down. more precise i guess.

From what I understand a square point is not the same as a spike point.

I like square points for accuracy whereas a spike has a definite sharp end, I think.

    I like 'em all actually.

To clarify, I am looking at a square edge at the moment, not a french point, sorry for the confusion.

These are the two razors I am considering:

Josh, the point is slightly rounded so it's not as dangerous as a sharp square point. Therefore it's not a safety issue. Focus on the functionality and the look of the razor.
