Applying the bay rum afterwards.
The smell is great, and the skin feels smooth and tight.

Thanked: 11The Smooth Shave feel!
I love the smooth shave feel after shaving - it stays with me all day. I will run my hand over my chin and be glad I took the time to get a classic close shave - the old fashioned way.

I have to say, I just literally had my 10th shave 10 minutes ago, and today everything went well. Few laps on the barber hone before, felt/leather strop, hot shower, lathering, 2 WTG + 1 ATG passes, some aftershave afterwards.
My favorite thing would probably have to be when everything comes together into that magical experience and after you're done you can sit back and admire and say "Now THAT was a good shave!"

What part of the shave do you enjoy most?
Gentlemen:
I don't compare the various parts of my shaving ritual. I enjoy the whole ritual and embrace each part for what it is.
Regards,
Obie

There are three things that I enjoy.
1. The entire process of shaving with a straight.
2. Having a razor cut well, especially against the grain, after honing it.
3. Applying aftershave.
Cheers,
Billif anything has been abnormal for a long enough period it then becomes normal.
