Well since everyone else seems to be posting about their new razors, I figured I would post pictures of the razor I just bought from Bill for my birthday (early bday present), even though I havent gotten it yet (its in the mail). I figured those of you who dont check the restoration forum would still appreciate it

I cant wait to try it out this week when it shows up!!!!!

Here is Bill's Description:

the good news is that I threw this together using a 7/8 Joseph Rodgers blade. Before the turn of the century, I'm thinkin'. I doubt it had ever been used. The original horn scales got bug-bit. Therefore, I decided to dress it up a tiny with some of my freshly cut desert ironwood. (you will be seeing more of these soon)

I threw a thick CA finish on the brilliant gold wood before it had a chance to darken much from being exposed to oxygen. The CA (super glue) was like adding a coat of glass to this astounding wood. It is impossible to photograph... for me anyway.

It melts hair off. This razor could very well be the favorite in ANY rotation. I thought I would give that person who wanted it, and he knows who he is, the first shot at it. After that I'll take offers. No offers from here, then it goes on ebay or my site.

The bad news... it's not cheap. But I think you might have guessed that.

And Pics of course:

I'll post my own pics and a shave report next week...the antici....pation is killing me lol
