Shavetorium
A long time ago in the old days of SRP I spoke of our upstairs bathroom that I converted to a "Shavetorium."
After 46 years of shaving with straight razors, and collecting barbershop stuff, this is the result.
Our house is quite old and what became the upstairs bathroom had once been a children's bedroom. Included in the photos are some of my razors in a TI burlwood case, a Kochs barber chair, a towel steamer, cash register, Campbell's Latherking that I bought new in November of 1970 and has worked faithfully ever since, and many barber supply antiques.
The lotion bottles are my invention. Inspired by the 8oz rectangular lotion bottles that were used on railroad barber shops I scratch built these. They're 6 oz oil/vinager cruets. I ground the knurled tops off and attached ceramic barber bottle stoppers. I made the labels on my computer.
In a few days I'll outline the shaving proceedure.
