As a University of Kentucky graduate I take great offense to anything "volunteer". I am not that crazy about the color orange, either. OTOH, that UK blue is the best.

I understand completely, I went to VCU so I have a grudge against GMU AND ODU, even though VCU isn't in the CAA anymore

Actually never attended U of F, just grew up a fan. I too attended at least four universities, including Boise State, University of Maryland, McMurry University (in Abilene TX.), and Excelsior College.
