Default Santa Fe New Mexico -- any good shops? August 22-26

I'll be in Santa Fe later this week for a conference. I was hoping for some antique store/shave shops recommendations. I won't have a ton of time for shopping, but I always enjoy purchasing a new straight whenever I travel. If anyone can suggest a shop or two, or if anyone is local and has a nice blade they would be willing to part with, just let me know. I'm just getting into restorations, so an antique store with some "reasonable blades" would be great to find, or a shop with some nice restores, NOS, or new straights would be wonderful. Feel free to reply to the thread or pm me. Thanks!

Santa Fe isn't known for antiquing and I don't know of any place selling razors or shaving supplies in general either there or in Albuquerque. There is an antique district in ABQ but you won't find any bargains there.

I know SF is more of an "artist community," but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. Thanks.

Sorry to be late to the show, but I am also a complete noob.

If you are looking for some razor supplies there is a very small selection at Stag Tobacconist located on 947 West Alameda Street Santa Fe, NM 87501, with a pretty good humidor

Also if your looking for a shave, I just found out that there is a barber located at 855 Cerrillos Road, named Johnny's Classic Barber Shop, I have yet to experience this but according to Yelp reviews he seems to be very good.

thebigspendur - there was at one point a Stag Tobacco located in Albuquerque that had an assortment of things, can't remember if it had shaving stuff, its been years since I have stepped foot in there of if it is even open. It was located at Montgomery and Juan Tabo.

Where do you usually get your shaving supplies? I am new to the straight razor and almost seems that online is the easiest way.

    Cheers,

    Rob

I didn't find anything when I was there. I usually go there every year, so I'll take a look next year. Thanks for the info.

    I get everything on-line.

Col Conk is in Los Lunas but they don't have any retail facility. They only do on-line and mail.
