found a barber shop that uses the straight razor !!

for years i always said id like to be shaved with a straight razor ... well after finally getting my own straights and doing it myself i found a shop bout 15-20 mins from me in Cleveland , O.H. .. i was reading some reviews and apparently there are 2 females who are the barbers an for $52 you get and hair cut and a shave .. with that being said i might have to go check it out and see mayb how much just a shave is so i can experience an actual shave in the shop .. but on second hand a woman with a razor to my throat may not be as relaxing ...lol ( no offense ladies , just some humor ) so here is some info if anyone is interested

Razor Rob's in Hubbard, OH (youngstown/warren area) does straight razor shaves as well. I found out about him by accident when I was looking for a barber who could do a decent bald fade, walked in, got cut, and he asked if I wanted my sideburns and chin only beard straightened up. I said yes and out came the straight. During my next few visits I had a full shave and now I'm Hooked on it, and that's why I'm on here getting info on getting my own straight razor and accoutrements.

iknow my local used to do them but he sold out , i stopped at about 8-10 others in my area with no luck .. this was bout 10yrs ago though , mayb i didnt look hard enough back then ..lol

There is a place here in Milwaukee that does straight razor shaves too and it is also women running the shop, and for the same price you get a cut and shave too, and I have no reservations about these females having a razor close to my skin after the first shave I got from them. Women in general usually know what they are doing, or so my wife tells me, or something like that.

FYI. There's a place in solon that will do a $10 straight razor shave. And they always do the back of my neck after a cut. It's called Carl's hair cuts for men. It's at Rt 43 and Rt 91.

My barber is in LaPorte, OH (which is just south of Elyria) and he will do a straight shave for $10 by appt. My brother got one and loved it, said you really get pampered. Real old school Barber shop with staights on the wall, and Rick is a genuinely great guy. I was lucky when I found him, my old barber was semi-retired and I had to find someone new.

Its been a few years since I was there, but in Cleveland Ohio, on Cedar Street, near Green, there was a shop simply called Tony's. Old fella inside would use his straight on request.
