    Default T.V. BS

i was watching a documentary were a man was showing you how to get stuff for free including clothes and food etc. he went to a barber college which offers free cuts and shaves to let students practise on you. he started enquiring about what the risk of getting a shave was. the professional barber that ran the college said that modern shavettes are completely safer than the old ones because the old razors if you think about it were just one piece of metal and people were always constantly losing thumbs and fingers all the time.

    I CALL BS!

Sounds like this "professional barber" is more interested in marketing than being factually accurate. Makes you wonder how much more misinformation this guy is spreading about....

My straights are pretty sharp - as are yours and all those straights throughout history I am sure, but one needs a bit oh weight and force to go through bone I would imagine. Actually I don't need to imagine. I know that for a fact .

If you are using a straight to go through bone, you had better know how to work around a joint. Going through the bone would be difficult lol.

I proclaim your call oh BS... a valid call .

    It is not a BS
It is another step to lower the responcibility. Lower the readness to make a decision. Lower the willingness to take risks.
Next step - "Do not use kitchen knives Use Nicer Dicer"

    PS - Sorry my english
PSS - Nicer Dicer plastic slicer system on our TV Shops. It may differ with the USA 8-)

When I think about how I've seen people use other tools it wouldn't surprise me if they indeed lost a finger when handling a straight razor!

How much I loathe those pseudo-documentaries. Wasting half an hour for 10 second content or being hidden commercials, self-expression, etc.

About eight years ago I decided T.V. is not giving me any satisfaction and is wasting too much of my life time. So I threw a blanket over it and stored it in the lumber-room. Never touched it again afterwards, never missed it. When I really want to watch a film, I get a DVD and use Notebook or beamer or I go to the cinema.

im jealous i really am. i was doing great last year because i bought all of charles bukowski's novels with christmas money which made me want to read and if i didnt want to read it made me want to drink. i havent got into another author yet and there is just something about tv which always lures me back. i think my main problem is my closest friend is 300 miles away.

That may be true, good sir, but we're just a few keystrokes away.
