I have a confession to make

I was exclusively an electric razor user for about 30 years. wore out several of them. I also regularly got so sick of shaving as to grow a beard, the longest duration of which was 15 years. I went from that directly to straights. I have never used single edge, double edge, or any other type of replaceable blade razor, with the exception of a couple of times being stuck with those plastic disposables.

One of the reasons I have to hurry some some mornings. Subject for another thread????

Used one every day in the car on the drive to work for a few years, it still resides in my car but the batteries are probably flat. So it is just costing me money for fuel to cart round the extra weight. I onky use the car one week in three though so is probably ok, you never know I might encounter a shaving emergency one day.

Been wet shaving since my Dad taught to shave with a DE. In my past profession there were times one was stuck at work, sometimes for days at a time. Always had an electric in my desk for those times I had no choice.
In my new profession, I continue to have an electric in my desk drawer.
Hate to use it , but sometimes I have no choice. Been a long time, I think about 4 years, but I have it in case.

I shave daily and I only have straights, so I don't use anything else, at home or anywhere else.

I once tried one, it looked sexy like yours but it didn't feel right for me. And it took about 20 minutes and still wasn't very good. I wish it did, I like the idea of just having an electric shaver, especially when travelling.

I also miss the water on the face. Somehow can't start the day right without washing the face.

I think I have seen electric wet shavers, don't know any more than that, oh and they are probably expensive.

Wow you boys realy are ignorant.You don't use an electric dry,that's what pre-shave lotion is for.My father used a Norelco triple head for most of his adult life and his face was always smooth.I choose to use a straight for my own reasons.

Next time anyone has a question about anything from unblocking drains, to renaissance art and poetry to quantum theory i would say we would know which enlightened soul to ask.

I used electrics most of my life. I've had them all. My first was a sunbeam shavemaster from the 1950s my dad gave me and then a few Norelco's and a few Brauns and a couple panasonics and a couple Eltrons and some others in between. I always got a BBS shave with most just that it didn't last but a few hours. I still have my last electric, an Eltron and now and then I pull it out and turn it on and then put it away-har har.
