Default Anyone in Central Mn? I would like to learn the tricks of the trade

I was wondering if any of you are from central Minnesota, and wouldnt mind taking me under your wing, so to speak.
I want to learn everything there is, how to properly clean and maintain, strop and hone, different shaving techniques, the different kinds of razors and their uses.. stuff along those lines

Reading stuff on here is fin and dandy, but im a hands on learner and would be most greatful.
Maby we could work something out, maybe i have that you would enjoy.

    Hello
I am in St. Paul, MN and your welcome to give me a call or come over to my home any time. I have had many new guys come over and spend 2-6 hours going over the world of straight razors. I will send you my contact info via PM. One of out guys, HNSB, is probably closer to you. http://straightrazorpalace.com/members/hnsb.html

    DualNat,

Being new, you would have a way to know how big you hit the jackpot. I would strongly recommend getting together w/ Randy or HNSB (stay w/ one while learning), and after some time, get w/ the other was well. Face to face time w/ an experience guy just turns your learning curve into a rocket sled ride.

I've not had the pleasure of meeting HNSB. 'Hope that changes some day. I *did* have the pleasure of meeting Randy. I can't really talk about how fine that time was - and still sound coherent. I'd drive hours (again) to spend time w/ Randy - both for the learning and the pleasure of his company. Don't take my (or anyone's) word for it. Your own inquiry or time meeting w/ either will be very well rewarded.
