My thanks to Ray for being such a gracious host. It was a real treat to meet all the attendees and finally put a face to the avatar (Kelly).
The time spent was exceptionally productive with a large number of razor masters offering their expertise to one and all. Ray and Sham's food was not shabby, either.
Thanks again Ray for putting on such a great event.

Gents, that was really something. I could have spent a year scouring the forum for answers to all the questions I had. The generosity was so inspiring. And Ray, you're one hell of a host.
Special thanks to Ron for the time you spent with me and my Nortons. Your generosity is very much appreciated
Thanks to everyone who offered advice and insight. I'm now much more comfortable with honing. Ray thanks again for hosting this.
The day after I got home I purchased a microscope. I learned an awful lot about honing and got to use a bunch of stones that I had never used before. It's really nice to be able to hone on a stone and compare it to others before buying it.
I am happy for you buddy,
You will be very happy with your scope. That is the one tool I have that I know with out question my edge is at each level it should be before going to the next stone, when I am done on my finishing stone I know there is a perfect edge on it or I see what the problem is and where I need to fix it.
Alex thanks for coming. Enjoyed meeting you and hope you get a chance to come by again!!
