Thanks for the pictures everyone. Some day. . .
If only I was still traveling I'd have been there in a heartbeat.
Hello Dave,
Not only did you treat the folks to great hospitality but also gave the res of us some up to date and in focus photos.
Thanks!

In focus. Rare for me
Thanks
Home safe.
I had a nice visit with Howard Monday morning, after camping nearby, and traded one of my razors for one of his knives. It's great having hardware made by your friends.
I was thinking of driving all of the way home after visiting Howard, but a look in the mirror Monday evening with 300 miles to go had me thinking otherwise. I camped again in North Platte NE.
A heartfelt thanks for the wonderful hospitality provided by Bonnie and Dave. It's a long drive, but I plan on doing it again.
That IS funny, the ladies thinking that. They may have been thirsty? That AND you fellas are SO HOT! :rofl2:
Thanks for all the pictures. Love that! :)
One question.....No pics of the Queen of Burk?
I screwed that up and have apologized
I just want to extend a big Thankyou! to Bonnie & Dave for their hospitality.
Once again it was a great razor meet. :)
There were a lot of really nice straight razors and guys who knew how to hone them. There was a focus this time on strops, making new ones and restoring old ones. I tried my hand at restoring 4 old strops that were unusable and managed to get them to a point where they are now functional as either a finishing strop or as an abrasive pasted strop. I also learned that next time I will do it a bit differently! :)
There was, as usual, a whole lot of good food! My diet went kaput for those 3 days. :)
I think it was beneficial to not have a very large group. It allowed us to get to know each other and learn from each other much more.
I do look forward to Daves next razor meet.
I scheduled this year a month earlier than last year which was the end of October. The weather should have been a little warmer in September.
It was 37f Saturday morning. 84f at 10:00 last night.
Ah well, maybe next year.
One thing we can't control is the weather.
Unless you count my sunny disposition. I hope I can make it next time!
I've been putting the pepper vinniger that I won on eggs...Mmmmmmmmmm.
Hey Dave!
During a discussion about putting water in bourbon I was using the terms hydrophobic and hydrophilic and you stated that these were not legitimate words.......... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrophobic_effect :jedi:
We should have brought this up with Ray the following day as he is very knowledgeable about such things. I just remembered this exchange while reading one of Ray's posts.
It's Saturday morning.
The wife is home and makes breakfast on weekends.
Today was a mushroom omelette and cheese with bacon on the side.
This was my first chance to try the pepper vinegar that I won in the raffle.
Like Victor and Tom said, Man That's Good!!!
Very tasty and just spicy enough. Took the eggs to the next level and beyond!
Bravo!! and thanks again Dave and Bonnie.
Pete <:-}
Keep adding cider vinegar. It will last for years!
ok , ok, you guys win.
Now tell me the name of that vinegar/pepper combo again and I will try it ! :)
Bonnie and Dave's Pepper Vinegar.
Look what just came home from Aldi's

Kringles are great on a cold Saturday with a fresh cup of coffee
I didn’t have to go to daves meet to know about Kringle. Last year at Charlie’s may be my last one ever.
I have kringles twice a year.
Charlie's and my place
I haqve been meaning to ask what is Bob doing with the hammer in the fourth picture?
