there aint nothing practical forging or stock removal,, by the time you invest the time and money you can buy all the custom razors you want. that being said its fun. but just to have a razor, I can get better than I can make for a lot less than the initial investment. heck the grinder I,m getting is 2800$,not to mention all the accessories and belts, anvils, hammers, and tempering equipment, band saws, drill press, bits and beer cooler. a forge, who knows, propane to get some experience. I could go on and on, but you get the idea, its a hobby nothing practical about it
