That is an odd one. The meet is always at Charlie’s shop. However Randy is the driving force behind
D the meet, and he organizes everything and does all the cat herding. If you want to try to figure out dates, PM Randy. It’s typically the weekend following the 14, because everyone was getting in trouble for being away on the Feb 14 weekend.
We had the date figured out months ago. Hell Roy has had his flight booked for months. 19th-25th
I will be there again next year. I'll leave a day early on Sunday. Look forward to hanging out in the shop and eating TC's pork! :D
The 2020 Texas meet is
February 19 through the 23
Wednesday through Sunday
This is a bit different from previous years where the last day was Monday.
All my plans are made except for the flight.
After last year's travel fiasco I am leaving a day early on Sunday the 16th.
Again, I'll be flying into OKC.
Hopefully will be in Texas by suppertime Monday the 17th.
Tuesday I have no plans, and if anyone gets in early and wants to do lunch or dinner just let me know.
Bruno...maybe we will luck out again this year and there will be Brisket.
If you think TC's pork is good...you haven't lived until you try his brisket!!

Pork belly futures are up anticipating the high bacon demand in February.
That this has any thing to do with Bruno's return is purely conjecture.
Any special projects this year? I know Tim and I played around with some cable, time allowing I wouldn't mind some cable san mai. I have at least one chunk of cable left. Any other ideas?
That sounds like fun. I have some of that cable and should make it into shorter pieces and see if this fancy degreaser I have access to will clean it up a bit before starting.

Not about steel but how would everyone like if I add some bbq pork belly this year to the menu, with us eating at the shop like last year we could work that in.

What style of recipe are you using? Little salt would not be bacon.
It’s pork belly and yes 2 @ 12# and salt most definitely and pepper. So yes it’s not bacon, but I’ll let Bruno decide, cause I believe he will think he has gone to bacon heaven.
