I'm sending Brass and Silver Nickel Rod directly to Charlies.
Austin (ajkenne) has offered to send a collection of his work directly to Charlies--N/C.
I plan on bringing some bone blanks, some acrylic blanks and some stabilized wood.
While not related to making scales, once gain there will be homemade cinnamon rolls and biscuits by our friend CarolynOur house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

Those look sweet. Do you make them?
Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Thanked: 315If someone more experienced wants to try their hand at regrinding a ROUGH blade, let me know. I was going to make a hobby knife out of it, but maybe someone can make it look decent again. I had planned to replace it, but since the maker is do obscure it would nice if someone could try to save it.
By obscure, I mean Zak said he had never heard of them!!
Tang says "John Askham Broadlaneworks"
Someone took a grinder or other power tool to it and made a mess.
And no, it wasn't me.
Just a thought.
As you can see, you really can't make it look any worse.

Funny, I thought about asking if anyone had old blades that need to be re-ground that they'd be willing to part with. I'd like to take the time this year to spend time learning how it's done.
