Good enthusiastic response so far. It will be great to have our resident honing Guru "Lynn" with us again this year. I am going to throw out the date of Saturday, June 5th out there for a while and see if we have any conflicts that come up. It will be the Saturday after Memorial day weekend. We should be able to again draw our Straight Shavers from both Kansas City area and St. Louis area with the meeting place about half way between the two metropolitan areas. I am about 2 hours from each side of the state and about 20 minutes south of Interstate 70. I have plenty of parking space and camping area for tenters that want to stay over. I am so looking forward to this Meetup. For Gunner: I have a machine gun for us to try out. I will post picture later.

Here ya go Phil. I don't think this qualifies for a Class III. It is a Russian import called a Drozd Blackbird. You can Google it for the specs. I have modified it with a longer 23" barrel that gives more velocity and accuracy. It also has a nice Red Dot site installed. It fires at 600 rounds per minute and has a select switch for single shot, 3 shots and 6 shots. It can be modified to fire full auto at 1200 rounds per minute with a new chip. I waste enough ammo as it is to do the mod. It is a hoot to shoot and I have plenty of cans in the yard with holes in them.

Hey, I like the camping idea.

If we stretch it out over a longer period of time I might be able to actually mess with some of the many hones folks bring, instead of crashing around to see a little bit of everything.

Camping sounds good to me. That and we all need to bring food, drink etc so the whole things not on BJ. We can work that out though with no problem.
Hey BJ that's still a fun one to shoot. Someone brought one similar to the last local LEO qualifications. WE enjoyed it a lot. The Russians make some good ones and that one looks pretty mean:-) It has a good size resorvoir of gas to. I like it!

Hello Stephen and welcome to SRP. We hope by Spring you are well on your way to shaving with a straight. The Meetup will be at my place just outside of Fulton in the woods. Check the Members Map for location and put your own pin in the map so we can locate you. http://straightrazorpalace.com/vbgooglemapme.php

We will be checking out each others razors, Honing with many different types of Hones, mild restoration such as pin tightening etc., and many of us will be shaving trying out each others razors. I think there will be Scooby Snacks throughout the day for the nibblers and the ever popular Fried Chicken for evening meal. Some of us will be showing each other our favorite firearms as well. I am putting you on the list hoping you can make it.

Hoping to make the trip home for this one. Sounds like a blast. Missed the last one by like 2 days.

It will be good having you with us this time Kevin. The last time there were a couple thousand Razors to look at and a ton or so of hones to try. I am looking to get a drill press and maybe a buffer for the shop so we can drill some brush handles to restore some brushes. We haven't heard from Mike257 in a while. Where is he hiding at. The date planned is for Saturday, June 5th. For those camping I would pitch your tent at least 50 feet from my new boarders that moved in over the summer.
