I was in Maryland for thanksgiving visiting my uncle. While there I found a baber shop in downtown Baltimore that will give you a shave (and a complementary drink). I had never been shaved by someone else. It was a fun experience. When I walked by I happend to see shaving creams and soaps in the windows. Truffitt and Hill, and such, the stuff I've only been able to find online. So I had to stop in to check it out. Everyone there was very pleasant to talk to. Here is their website.
However, I was dissapointed to see that they used Shavettes instead of proper straights.

A local barber here in baltimore does the back of my neck with a shavette too. I asked him about real straight razors and he mentioned the health rules will not allow their use (not able to clean properly between customers). He then promptly dunks the shavette into a Barbasol jar to await the next customer : (

    So much for healthy

He gave a really bad haircut too.

We should try to have a MD. group drink or shave. Or get together to go to one of the larger area meetings
