Sign me up! Can't wait. Last year for fun and informative.
John
Would love to be there, but I am thinking of coming down the first part of Sept this year instead of July, any ideas on dates yet ????
Hey all,
Travis, John and I were talking about the too Glen, seems like to much to fast for you right around that time. AFAIC, it can be any particular month, I have no issues with that whatsoever. Either way, you can count me in!!!
Mike
September's as good for me as any other time.
--Tim
Most any month works for me too.
Depends on if I draw an archery moose tag or not this year (big grin, been waiting 7 years!) But even if I do I'll probably come home for the weekend to keep SWMBO happy. So, I could slip away for some razor porn/hone porn. For that matter, Mike's wife and mine hit it off, so I could bring her and keep the peace all the way around. They could talk about....... chick stuff.....grin.
John
I would be in also depending on actual date. If we can get a date and place set that would get it in front of the social coordinator. I enjoyed last year, would expect the same in 2012:
Well, here are the weekend dates for September:
Sat 1 8 15 22 29
Sun 2 9 16 23 30
Last year I think it was on a Sunday, and we wrapped up in the middle afternoon.
Shall we agree to use the same place this year, the Garlic Knot? They treated us pretty well. Good pizza, too.
There was a Rockler store nearby, if not next door, too. I picked up some nice scale stock there.
Later, all,
Tim
Thanks for the luck! I see more moose in the area I've been hunting than elk. Maybe because they like standing in the middle of fields like moo-cows? smile.
September is a good time for me also. The Knot would love to have us back. Every time I see the owner's wife she asks when we will be back.
roughkype,
You may have a point there....smle.
I'm good with September this year. I just need to hammer down the date to secure time off work.

Very nice Glen!
No calves yet? Yesterday I was fishing up near 9K elevation and the willows had just started to leaf.
Haven't seen any yet, we normally have a resident mama moose and a set of twins every summer though on our place and usually another toward the front of the road..
I saw this one out the kitchen window this morning when I was making coffee and thought of you, and went and grabbed the camera :)
That's some serious scenery up your way my friend. Wow! I just finish reading up on moose and it seems normal calving time is mid to late May. So up your way should be any time now.
Ill be there as long as it isnt on the 12th.... Cant ditch out on the anniversary.
Lookin forward to it!
Anyone have stronger opinions yet on dates? We're avoiding the 12th, which is easy 'cause it's a weekday.
Glen said he wanted to come in early September--Glen, want to chime in and strike any of the later weekends? Should we plan on another Sunday so you'll have Saturday for driving?
--Tim
The 23rd is out,,, Anniversary :)
I was waiting on my sister to tell me what weekend she is Preaching up in Canada so I can plan around it give me a couple of days Please
I will be in the area visiting Mom and Sis anyway so Sat or Sun won't matter much

No rush to set a date yet, Glen. I've just appointed myself to put the bug in peoples' ears and tickle it occasionally, to make it wave all its little legs. I just don't want us to have to rush and set a date at the end of August.
I've also been trolling for new folks in Colorado--like that fellow with the great post in your Beginners Tips thread--and making sure they know. How far afield should I watch? CO and all surrounding states?
Is there a way to send bulk PMs to everyone who says they're in a particular state? I just ran a search for members located in Colorado and got 67. I can go through and PM them one by one if that's the only way.
The first meetup I went to, last year, I only stumbled across by chance. It'd be nice to publicize them better.
--Tim
We (mods) can bulk PM Tim I did it at the first one, and will do it again or Travis can too as soon as we get a set date time etc: he and I will get together and send out Invites

Cool. Hope I haven't stepped on any toes.
Tim,
You might consider southern WY (i.e. Cheyenne).
Sept 8,9 will not work for me.
You might look at all wyoming members as many don't have towns listed. I have been trying to spread the word in my travels and chance meetings, but we are few and far between here in WY.
Gents it is looking like my Sister, really wants me down there closer to Mom's birthday in July, although I really want to be there for the meet My plans are totally up in the air now :(
g
Ok gents I finally got a solid date from the Sis that works in September I will be down the last week 29th/30th are the weekend dates, if that works I am in, if not then I hope to see some of you guys anyway for a beer or something :)
g
either Sat or Sun
I have requested vacation for the last 2 days in Sept. I should be available for either day.
So, at this point, the only exclusively preferred date is the 30th. Shall we commit to that and send out a wider notice?
--Tim
Tim,
That sounds like a plan to me.
I would like to join. I live in Denver and would like to meet new friends. I am flexible one the date. Just name it.
Glad to hear you can make it Ghostrider 5557. We'll see ya there!
John
OK, Sunday September 30. What's a good time to show up? 11 a.m.? Noon? Glen, can you dictate a time and send out a mass note to members in Colorado and Wyoming?
What about including Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Kansas, in case we have members near their CO borders?
A little farther flung, but also contiguous, are New Mexico and Utah. How wide a net is reasonable to cast for one of these meetings?
