Thread: Hone/shaving lot

Hi guys up for sale here is a full kit for getting a shave ready razor and much more. I have priced this out for items individually and combined/lowered my prices already putting this lot together.

A king 1k in the 7x2" format for bevel setting, a king 4K and a king 8k goldstone in the 7.75 x2.5" format.

A Belgian coticule purchased here off Helge. A very fine coticule indeed. I just cannot justify two coticules. I have fallen on some hard times here. College and being the sole provider of myself, my mrs and my dog. Need the $. It's approx 6.5-7x 1-1/8". An easy size to work and get comfortable. My other coticule is 1-1/8 also and it hones with no problems this one being longer makes is nice for longer x strokes. Sad to see this one go but you do what you have to.

Also included is a gold plated merkur futur. A truly efficient razor. The most efficient of any DE I have used. Provides a close comfortable shave in minimal passes. With this is 2 packs of 5 rapira blades. Comes with original box and a Hibco travel case if you fancy bringing it along with you while you travel.

Then we have a Simpson Wee Scot used 5x I traded my friend Bill for. By traded I mean he purchased it new for me and I traded him something in return so Im the original owner. I'm letting this go because I prefer boar over any badger brush out there as such I don't even use my silver tip Thater. I'd prefer it go to a good home. I made (hand made not machined, it's not perfect) a drip stand for it out of mild steel square tubing and painted it so it won't rust. Also comes with original box.

I have added a 1936 Barber Textbook in hopes someone would want it for their library. The pages are in excellent condition but the cover is a little worn and was attached with book tape from the inside.Full of information on honing, shaving, hair cutting and old time remedies. A very cool book to read. Signed by the original owner no less. In the spirit of that I've included a set of manual clippers. Great for the shave den, man cave or even use if you wanted to clean it up a little.

2 razors are included too. A Geo. W Korn Keen Shaver and a Boker Edelweiss. Potentially shave ready. I honestly can't remember how far I've got on those razors.

Not willing to split this sorry.

I have withdrawn the coticule. I shaved off it today and it leaves just such a nice edge I can't bring myself to part with it. I came to my senses and the monetary need to part with it has been alleviated.

I will sell the remaining items for $225 + shipping.
