Thread: SOLD: Nakayama Maruka

Up for sale a very nice and clean Nakayama Maruka Asagi for razors.
The stone measures 205x55x33mm , it is mounted on a carved base and both the stone and the base are lacquered with cashew lacquer.
The stone has that blue-green classic Asagi appearance. There are no lines or cracks on the surface, and the sides show very nice uniformity through out the thickness of the slab. The stone is extremely smooth and uniform and is a superb finisher. It makes very keen yet mellow edges provided a compatible tomonagura is used. The stone is very hard but not ultra hard and that makes it easy to use without any risk of scratching the bevels.

I have included pictures of the stone as it is now, and also with the stamps when I got it including translations of the two quality stamps. The stamp that is not translated is the standard "Shohonzan" stamp. The Maruka stamp can be seen on the side of the stone in the second picture.
