Strop is in great condition. Still has many years of use left in it. Vintage 'SCOTCH LASSIE' two piece leather and canvas (Linen) strop. Strop measures approximately 24" X 2 ½". Chrome hardware has been sanded and polished. At top of strop silver embossed "SCOTCH LASSIE - and image of a Scotch Lassie", at bottom faint silver embossed "CERTIFYD - TRADE MARK - SANITARY SELECT - solid cross with words, E M MFG. Co. - WE'LL BEAT EM ALL LIKE CERTIFIED CHECKS - 100% POSITIVE VALUE - MADE IN U.S.A. - LAUREL WREATH with 144A in center". The embossing is warn at the bottom as it is where you hold strop while in use. Canvas in great condition, has been washed. Leather cleaned with saddle soap and treated with a small amount of neetsfoot oil. Leather strop has no cuts or nicks. A few shallow scratches by Scotch Lassie drawing.
