Default Labeled Escher hone without box

A nice labeled Escher. Measures 8 x 1 3/4. I won't guess the color so you be the judge. ( a customer on ebay returned it to me saying it wasn't as described. He says it's a blue green FWIW.) $515.00 TYD CONUSA.

I think he was making excuses and was looking for a way out. It looks like a green to me.

I did bid on your auction and at least from the pics I was bidding on it as a YG stone.

Looks green to me. I think whoever it was needs to salve his @$$. Nice looking stone and perfect size. Wish I had the expendable funds.

It was probably a rabbi. If they even think there is a hint of blue in them they refuse to use the things..

Okay I give up. What does a rabbi have to do with a wet stone anyway? What is the significance of the color blue? What am I missing here?

Do you think razor guys are the only people who buy Eschers? Rabbis buy them to put the final edge on their kosher slaughter knives. They heavily prefer the yellow greens but will buy the light greens also. Idk where the notion came from but a lot of them seem to treat dark blues like lepers.

Like to the point where if I listed 10 yg thuris 6 or 7 would be going to one of them because they pounce on the things the way Australians pounce on frictionites and Norton razor hones... I think it is mostly speed as far as the color is what I take from it as far as their ideas.

Well, if there's one thing that every good rabbi should understand, it's that nothing in the temporal realm lasts forever.
