Found this for $35 while digging through the crap on our favorite auction site. 8 1/4 x 2 1/4 size, box has a leather strop on top. I need a finisher, hopefully it's one of them there Belgianese stones.

If you can post a shot of the side & the ends, it would help

I do not have it in my grubby mitts yet. Will post when it comes in.

Looks like an arkie, not a finisher. It can be useful to keep your tools sharp

Looks like an Arkansas or Hindostan. If it is a Hindostan, it might work as a finisher for your razors.

Either way, I won't be broken hearted. I figured since it had a strop on the lid, it might be a finer stone.

I am guilty of buying a coticule off ebay that turned out to be a India oilstone...
Thankfully the seller offered to relist it before they sent it.
I think this happens a lot more than most of us care to admit

Meh, I can dump it at the local antiques market (probably for a profit) if it doesn't work out.

Not quite in the spirit of PIF - more like anti-PIF!
