Thanked: 13236Not to cop out but it really does depend on the razor plus I like to switch them up
I start on a Chosera 1k to set bevels and get a feel for the steel then decide the direction from there, honestly though most razors will shave comfortably on many different stones/hones
I really feel it is more about getting the bevel set evenly, sharp, and smooth then slowly moving up from that point, after that it is just all frosting
I said this way back when, and things have never really changed "We spend 90% of the time on the hones setting the bevel, yet spend 90% of our time talking about our finishers and spend the majority of our hard earned cash on the finishers too"
