Thanked: 104Re using cros strops
Good evening,
A couple of months ago I watched a video by Dr Matt on his nanoglass, super fine honing method using CBN & CROX. He used a magnifying instrument to show what a difference it made. I exchanged emails, and I came up with my own version for Australians. I bought a 3 x 3 balsa block 12 inches long. I purchased a simple car polishing chamois (synthetic which I glued to the balsa) and impregnated it with Chromium Oxide. Once you have got it right, I use 75 strokes on a moistened piece of velour type fabric with crox, and it's terrific. Improves the comfort level, look under a loupe. Shave test it, fellas this is a good idea, it isn't overly abrasive, but is a mirror under the scope. Oh and by the way it gives a nice edge. And crox is cheap like balsa, try it men.
Cheers Bob
