Can anyone identify this stone?

Hi,
I just found a fairly fine stone at a thrift store. It seem to be a vintage Naniwa judging by the box. I have looked up the number and nothing comes up. Wondering if anyone knowss anything about this one.

Japanese Lobster Brand Waterstone, I think their finest stone are 4000 and 6000.

I dont know for sure, but a quick test on your part will tell you if its finest the your Norton 8k.

It's a nice stone.
I betting it takes a 30 minute pre soak before using
just like my king deluxe stone.

A friend of my father in law who is from Japan got back to me and told me it simply said "fine finishing stone" no mention of a grit number at all. I'll have to do some careful observation and see how it compares to my Norton 8k.
