I mentioned this in another post but maybe here is the better place. This will have to be limited to synthetic hones as my experience with naturals is limited, or I should say more limited than with synthetics. It seems logical to me that as you go up in grit size that you would experience less and less feedback but I have found the reverse in 2 hones: the 12K Naniwa and the suehiro gokumyo 20k. Not only is there more feedback on the SG but it seems to remove metal more quickly which I guess sort of fits. I'm kind of stumped here and could use some feedback....so to speak.
