Here's a good shot of the slurry. I brought it up with 600 grit wet sandpaper. Looks very milky. After I used the 600 grit wet paper to lap it it feels a lot smoother. I only have a norton flattening plate which doesn't do a very smooth job. It does feel soft while flattening with that plate. Takes the stone off easily.

I've had a chance to compare it to the norton 4k/8k. It is smoother than the 8K side for sure. Not sure by how much but I can definitely tell there's a difference. I will try to get it to someone with more experiance and smoother hones to do a comparison but I am very happy with my purchase. It was $30.00 and I spent probably $20 in gas so not to shabby I think.

could be close. The slurry looks more brownish on that one. Mine is more milky. Gotta find that video
