Hello!

I haven't honed any razors for a while, but then stumbled upon a bunch of really nice ones for one euro each on a vintage car flea market so I couldn't resist buying

Now I started out with my 3000 grit stone since the one I choose to use had quite a nice edge (semi decent shave without honing).

I did a few hundred strokes on the roszutec but didn't really feel a difference

Did a few hundred strokes on the 3000 grit, followed by 400 on the rozsutec and it got better but far from great.

I now just wonder, how much can one expect, using my quite poor setup? Maybe 400 strokes is way too little on the rozsutec? I haven't really found out. Will of course continue but always nice to get somekind of input from people who've been in the same shoes.
