Thread: For Barber Hone fans

Couple days ago I got in the mail a very well preserved blue Shumate barber hone [smaller in size than average ] that is proving to be quite the toucher-upper stone. 6 to 8 strokes on this smallish stone has yielded a great shave from two Genco Wedges which are actually 1/4 hollows but the model name is "Wedge". Then 15 to 20 strokes on a Gokumyo 20K.

The blades on the two razors are very stiff and are easy to hone, at least for me. Shaves were remarkable........
