Man ! You got some serious hones there !. The one with the box and label at the top is an Escher, which is one of the best natural waterstones for razors known to man. They are from the Thuringan area in Germany, and the wide gray one next to it looks like the same family. The two tone at the bottom is a Belgian coticule, which is a 'natural.' All coticules are natural, but those that are not glued to a backing are referred to as 'naturals. I don't know what that big chunk of hone is, but someone will be along.
I actually have many more. I buy them when I see them if they are in original box or even not if they are very nice. I will post more pics of some loose ones if you may know what they are. I was wondering if that was a coticule as I have only seen them glued.

Think 2 may be washita oilstone and 2 brown/yellowish seem Arkansas hard stone? The big dark one is Definately a mystery to me.
Ditto on the Washita and the Arkansas. Not sure overall what the rest are.
Where are you buying these puppies?! Wish they had anything like that in flea markets around here!
Attachment 186293Attachment 186294Every one of the stones comes from estate sales flea markets and one large lot in an auction that got me started!! This is been over quite a few years and many miles!! I am always willing to trade if you see something you like... I really like to know this one stone.. Will attach pic. I paid a hefty sum based on me thinking it was a very old and valuable norton oil filled hone
Hold on to the Escher with you life. Warning never part with the Escher. They dont make them anymore. The prices are crazy stupid outrageous. No look on Ebay Google. Unless you need an organ transplant hold onto it. You could probably finance the surgery with the value of that stone
I don't know about that, lol. It really depends on the size - the smaller ones aren't crazy ridiculous, although they are usually higher than other stones their size for sure. Can't tell from the pic what size he has for sure but it looks like the 1" x 4" or thereabouts. The big ones can definitely get crazy though.
