Cnat , C12 K - where to find in Europe

I want a big size ,C12k for finishing , and as a base for slurry honing . The problem is / oh boy is a real problem/ that i live in Europe . I read abbout the inconsistency in quality and that like the MST waterstones , in the Cnats there are deferences in the grit .
Did someone buy in Europe locally a Cnat . Maybe , transatlantic is the best option . I have looked in a Chinese Internet store Aliexpres , but is that a C12k and is a good stone in therm iof quality . And in a second place , the delivery is over a month . For the last stone i bought from there was 3 months waiting .
The King 6000 grit ordered from Japan came for..... 7 days including our slow postal cervice , so 4 days i say .
I look the Tailor 1000 i think was , from england . He offers a Cadjima ,with a slurry stone ,at normal prise but the size is not propriate as i whant to work and keep diderent kinds of sluryes or naguras on the stone .
As im looking the prises going up for this Cnats , i may go for smaler stone or something . Even in the small size q can i be sure abbout gritt as i have 7 or 8 smaler thuringians and i whant to finish in the Cnat with a thuri slury on diluting it to plain watter .
Any sugestions for seller or some help abbout it , will be very usefull .I love my thiuri edges - no coticule canot ever reach them , but its somethimes anoing honing on a 12 x 2=5 or in the best case 14 x 3 sm thuri .
I was thinking many thimes for a MST but the gritt size and inconsistancy in quality is makes me turn to C12 K .
I know that most of the members had few Cnats , if someone whant to sell a auditional stone , may contact me .Just want to be a fine grit no 8 K or so .

I was watching this stone , its a Cnat i think , but 2 3 months delivery is making me nervous

A couple European shaving shops offer the stone I'm sure. There's also open_razor from Poland at Ebay who has been selling them for years.

The Polish seller is ok , but i red a review from a respectable member here and in Badger and Blade , and the guy said that the polish seles stones , are coarser stones - 8 9 K levell.

So far, I've bought 4 Chinese stones I think, from open razor, and all of them were good finishers. I've got a kajima too, and I also like it.
Buying naturals is a gamble, and grit ratings on naturals are irrelevant.

Order over Aliexpress directly from China...

I got one from the seller from Poland and it is a great finisher, but natural finishers are a gamble unless you get one from someone that has tested each stone personally and can verify the quality.

I just pull the trigger on this . And the waiting begins . I have 9 stonem that are very good finishers , just thinking a long time abbout the Cnat .

The best stones I've gotten (two of them) come in this style of box.

I got one from a seller on alibaba that came in that style box, and one from woodcraft that they sent to me years ago just because I asked about it. I don't think they'll give them away any longer, though!!

Every phig I've gotten (5) has been a little different, two good now (including the one from alibaba in that style box) two OK, and one poor (the poor one self slurried, which is a big problem).

I don't think you can get around the risk, but you can try to improve your odds.

I have no clue what that box says, but I'm hoping that it means they come from woodwell tool or something. IIRC, the price of the stone on alibaba (the big one) was about $35-$40 with shipping, which was cheaper than woodcraft here or I would've just gotten another one from them.

There is one on ebay right now at $38 and rising. The prices on these stones is already going up as people start seeing how good they can be. especially one that's been tested as a good stone. Still a value purchase but costing more than just a few months ago. When you get a good one hold on to it. My biased opinion of course.

I ordered from here , i have a problems ordering but after all i sucsede . If we continue to speak and discuss how good they are , the chinese will raise the prises up to the sky , like the Jnats .
The last weekend on a local fleamarket i buy untouched , brand new coticule , the new stones . Glued for a black slate . The size is 18 x 6 x 2 sm as the coti layer is more tha 1 sm thick for .......10 bucs . And i buy this chinese stone for 40 bucs . Tell me more abbout prises.
For a 15 - 20 euro you can buy a kilogram of Cretan hone witch is a very good piece of ..... amazing ultra fine novaculite .

Just saw the final fee-$51.00!!! Wow. You can buy one for 25-$35.00 from woodcraft but you also run the risk of getting an ok one instead of a great one.

The big ones at woodcraft are $50 something with shipping in the US. You can get one in person for about $45+tax.

IIRC, the one with shipping on alibaba cost me about $10 less than it would cost woodcraft to ship to me. Woodcraft is 2 hours away. Seems odd to be able to get it cheaper from china, because cost to chip anything other than small coin batteries from china is exorbitant. I wouldn't be surprised to find that half of the price of the stone from china is shipping. Woodcraft's woodworking tools prices are usually higher than anyone else, so I wouldn't expect them to offer the stones for 25% over cost or anything, though once in a while they offer them for half price. Just never seems to be when I have the jones for one!!

Separate and aside from that, woodworking retailers in general tend to offer some quality goods at high prices, and then a bunch of stuff where they make a ton. One of the makers of tools about 10 years ago made a post about 2 wheel dry grinders from china that the woodworking retailers sold being offered to him at a little over $7.50 per delivered to port. Those grinders sold in various stores between $80 and $150, depending on who was selling them.

Well, I don't know what use that little story is other than that the cost of the actual stone is probably a fairly small fraction of the price, and the markup in the US the major amount, and the shipping from china a huge amount of the price from there, too.

Chinese sellers has so many deliverys , as they has an amazing chiping contracts . So they put it in the prise and its a free shiping worldwide and the deal is unbeatable . It is only that the shipping is from 25 to 3 months .
Last stone i purchase came in the end of the 3 rd month .

The end result after 3 weeks and a 38 dollars prise taraaaaaaa
