Was looking for a yg thuringian, so I bought this hoping I am not to far off... Is this a Deutsche Schleifmaterialen Gesellschaft Steinach-hone? From the threads here, and elsewhere on the web, I have only seen DSG hones labeled with the letters DSG written into one another.

Looks like an amazing performer! I love my YG thuris. That looks especially light/yellow. I'm jealous.
From what I have seen online, it does not seem like labeling with separate letters is ordinary for DSG- made me unsure of the origin of the hone. Anyway, I'm very exited to see how this hone performs compared to my rather dark blue vtg thuri :)Quote:

Well congrats to the hone at first. I was watching the auction too. The hone is clearly from the Deutsche Schleifmaterialien Gesellschaft. They used the letters DSG in different forms and various layouts.Quote:
