2 sided Craftsman hone
Ok so I just purchased a (you guessed it) 2 sided Craftsman hone it's black/gray on one side an red on the other. Now I've checked the sight an haven't found what I'm looking for so I thought I'd ask. This hone looks just like the Norton axe hone except for the logo of course so my question is, is this the same hone just manufactured for Sears/Craftsman by Norton? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I have no idea. Certainly doesn't look suitable for razors.

I was watching that on Ebay. It is a razor hone. Google brings up some threads from other places.

Looks like a Dubl Duck dry hone in color and a few others. You'll know when you get it. If it feels smooth try it on a razor. Axe guys love the Frictionite hone and that's why they are so hard to get. I am betting razor hone but then again, I am not a betting man :<0)

To me it looks more like the Norton an pike axe hones the dubl duck looks more like the frictionite 00 which is what I thought they were just imprinted with the logo for dubl duck. Here are some pics of the Norton an pike Axe hones I'm talking about.
