Default First JNat came today. What may I have?

Been wanting one for a while but the price tag on many are too high for something I am so unsure of. This was a reasonable cost so took a shot. The problem is I can't read the writing and have no experience with this type of stone. Does anyone know what I have? Thinking it is 3rd in progression based on the #3, but I could be wrong..I am hoping someone an help. Thank you all in advance.

Given the stamp on the end, was this a 330Mate ebay hone? If so, then the provided description will be somewhat of the starting point for understanding it. I highly doubt that the #3 means it is to be third in a progression. I don't know what it DOES mean, but I don't think it is that.

I did get it on ebay but not from the name you say. This person does not sell stones typically more estate items. This is the item number. 351688241029

Well, since the previous owner did not want anyone spitting on it, I guess you can assume it's not too bad.

Let us know how it works out for you.

I can't beleive how many different types of Jnats that there are. And even the same mine produces so many different types and color stones. I guess there are variances in thuris and coti's etc as well. I see why I have held out so long in purchasing one. Even marked with writing I could not figure them out. Guess best to not even worry about that and just use it and decide on my own if and where it fits. Seems quite hard.

Stefan will probably see the thread, but you might zip a PM to him (mainaman) and bring it to his attention. He could probably tell at a glance what it is you have. I know less than you do. J-nats was a door I decided to leave closed years ago.

There are many jnat experts around that will likely chime in. That was definitely a gamble though, so I hope it works out. Have you tested it yet? I just picked up a nakayama maruka asagi. Its coming form russia so itll be a long wait until i can play with it.

From the pictures the stone does not look like a suita. I do not see the layered structure typical for those stones.
The surface however resembles a suita somewhat, hard to tell from the pics.
Hopefully it is a good finisher for razors.
