When I (rarely) drink wine, I don’t understand what peopleare talking about with terms like “mouth feel”. They say I don’t have a trainedpallet. I also don’t understand a harsh razor edge, I must not have a trainedface.
The last three days Ihave shaved with a new, highly regarded razor that was professionally finished on a yellow coticule.Today I shaved with a ZY on a $20 10K stone finished with .5 micron diamondpaste rubbed into a vinyl strop with the strop laying on the kitchen counter. From what I read, this should have been a “harsh” shave. Nothing could befurther from the truth for me. It was a very easy, smooth, irritation freeshave. It was every bit as good, probably better, than the edge honed by a proon a fancy rock.
Is it just possible that a person does not have to spend alot of money on either razor or stone to get a great shave, or like wine, am Ijust too much of a cur to realize what nuance I am missing?
