I hope the post is useful. BTW, the fiberglass brushes are great for cleaning out the pitting or surface rust on old razors before a light coat of Ren wax to keep the pits from rusting again. Just be careful to not scratch the finish.

Remember that the tiny bristles break into tiny bits which scratch the skin. Do not work on your lap!!
Otherwise they are handy for many uses in the shop.

These are one of the most innocuous tools on the razor bench, they seem safe and innocent easy to use but they are not..
Hints
Wear Nitrile gloves
Use it outside
Do not work so that the broken bristels can fall and hit your clothes
Wear glasses
Do NOT rub your eyes until well after you have shed the gloves and the clothes you are wearing and washed your hands
The bristles can get under the skin and be carried to the eyes where they are extremely dangerous...
They work very well just be extra careful using them
