    Default Toxic hones...

Anyone trying to make do with one? Or, what types of toxicity have you run across. I have a few. I've got a suita that has some nasty particles hiding in some of the lines. I can get away with using it as long as I try to find and dig out as many as I can find with my Carson. I've got another one with a couple of very tiny what look like rubies embedded in them too. What about you guys?

    I avoid toxicity.
Many years ago I had a few NOS Thuringians with gritty bits in them. Seller replaced them.

I like the challenge, plus you can get some really good deals and it adds another dimension of fun to the hobby.
But yea, most people should steer clear of them.

Actually my Dragon's tongue has (had?) a good sized chunk of something bad in it. Either the hone or the rubbing stone one...left a pretty wicked gouge in the surface of the DT. Caused me no end of fits when I first started using it. I'm pretty sure it finally fell out an got washed away, I'm hoping I don't find any more in it. I haven't put that stone to work in a while, cause I'm afraid of what I'll find if I do lol.

I had a chunk of Beryl which I turned into a hone however I kept opening up little vugs lined with beryl xtls. Very beautiful under the microscope but useless as a hone.

So, your going to just stumble in here and ask for pictures without adding any content of your own? Not even a related story of such toxic happenings in your own life? Thats' pretty selfish.....

Some members possibly may not even know what a toxic inclusion on a natural hone is, so photos do help.

Your right, I'm sorry. Here's a few. What your seeing is a couple of small ruby looking stones embedded in one of my beautiful suita's.

I'm still not shure what to look for when identifying toxic hones and personality i having never used one[emoji2] ....currently I own about 150 stones and I've only used about 15 so that might be why.[emoji53]
