Thanked: 59Toxic hones...
Anyone trying to make do with one? Or, what types of toxicity have you run across. I have a few. I've got a suita that has some nasty particles hiding in some of the lines. I can get away with using it as long as I try to find and dig out as many as I can find with my Carson. I've got another one with a couple of very tiny what look like rubies embedded in them too. What about you guys?

I avoid toxicity.
Many years ago I had a few NOS Thuringians with gritty bits in them. Seller replaced them.Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr.

Thanked: 481Actually my Dragon's tongue has (had?) a good sized chunk of something bad in it. Either the hone or the rubbing stone one...left a pretty wicked gouge in the surface of the DT. Caused me no end of fits when I first started using it. I'm pretty sure it finally fell out an got washed away, I'm hoping I don't find any more in it. I haven't put that stone to work in a while, cause I'm afraid of what I'll find if I do lol.

I had a chunk of Beryl which I turned into a hone however I kept opening up little vugs lined with beryl xtls. Very beautiful under the microscope but useless as a hone.

Thanked: 59So, your going to just stumble in here and ask for pictures without adding any content of your own? Not even a related story of such toxic happenings in your own life? Thats' pretty selfish.....
