Well took advantage of SRD's Father's day sale and pulled the trigger on a Naniwa 12K (decided to make the purchase two weeks ago, but figured there would be a sale around this time).

Refreshed my two favorite blades on the 8k Norton then did some polishing with the new stone

BAM! SO MUCH SMOOTHER!

Totally happy with my purchase. Not satisfied with my edges yet, but I may never be satisfied while I chase the "perfect edge" (at least while I chase the "perfect self-honied edge")

Big thanks to you guys. The knowledge I've gained from just reading some of these posts is awesome; add in the PM conversations and mentoring I've received all I can say is "Well done Gentlemen!"
