Yeh i was thinking it may have been one from the sellers discription if it but its way to soft and easy to lap i have a few charnleys and they are hard . Also the swirls are more pink than the red of a charnley.

Ok i have some more pics and have had a chance to run an old razor over it polishes the blade nicely ,doesn't auto slurry and the the water doesn't turn grey with steel so it should be a nice finisher .I have used a hard rub stone to get a slurry and it is milky white so im leaning towards a hybrid coticule stone old and hard enough to not need a backing stone , maybe sort of like the Les Latineuses . Any opinions welcome Name: 20170813_101607.jpg

I won't make a guess at it but I do think it's a beautiful stone! Very nice addition to your hones. Now I have a HADache.... hmmm, what's the cure?

Aquire more ,sometimes the cheep dirty old stones turn out to be the best surprises, not always but sometimes. Otherwise take two panadol and see your doctor if pain persists.
