That is odd. !!
Never had that problem, but I've never used those hones before. Maybe try a natural finisher after the 4k.
I only use three hones now.
A Chosera 1000 for bevel setting, then to a Washita, and finish on a Escher ( barbers Delight )
A great shaving edge.!

Thanks Outback. I moved the post, I think this was the wrong forum. But my plan is exactly that, get a natural finisher and see how that works after the 4k. Maybe three hones will do me as well.
