Swaty
How many different kinds of swaty exist and what is their difference and purpose. Please someone tell me in detail.

There have been at least 5 different ones that I know of because thats what I have!
The general consensus is that the 3 line Swaty, 3 lines of text on the hone, is the finest. It is a finishing level hone generally used to rapidly refresh an edge while shaving.

Randy thanks a lot. Mine is brown and has three lines of writing. After the norton 8K I needed a polish stone. (I will get a yellow belgian coticule soon).
